YENETA ETHIOPIA TOURS

Yeneta Ethiopia Tours is a tailor-made tour operator based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, established in 2018. It primarily offers tailor-made tours in and around Addis Ababa for short-term business travelers, city excursions for family visitors from the international and diplomatic community, and personalized half-day tours for those traveling through Bole International Airport.

Numerous tours to historical sites are also offered (including rock-hewn churches and millennia-old monuments in northern Ethiopia that are UNESCO World Heritage sites, namely the monolithic rock-hewn churches of Tigray and the millennia-old obelisks of Axum; the first mosques built in Africa, Al Negashi; the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela; ancient monasteries around Lake Tana in the town of Bahirdar; Gondar-era palaces and castles in the city of Gondar; the ancient prayer sanctuary of Sof Omar Cave, and more).
Attend in religious festivals that are part of UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage, such as the Ethiopian Epiphany, the Finding of the cross of the Christ, and the Irreecha festivals (as part of the Gada system).

Discover the 365 days of religious chants of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, known locally as YAREDAWI ZEMA or WEREB.

We take you on board to experience the indigenous culture of multiple ethnic groups across the country (specifically the Omo Valley tribes who have almost similar and diversified cultural values as the very famous Massay tribe in East Africa).

We love taking you on 4x4 safaris so you can enjoy wildlife encounters in the country's most popular national parks and bird sanctuaries, including Awash National Park, Northern Simien mountains National Park, Bale Mountains National Park, Sinkle Bird Sanctuary, and others.

We team up to go on adventure tour or trekking, mainly to the Danakil Depression of Afar, a salty land with spectacular sceneries and see the Ertale active volcano just a stone's throw away from the cliff of it, and other naturally adventurous places. We also facilitate filming locations for documentary filmmakers who frequently travel around the world.

The company name Yeneta is an Amharic word that comes from the Geez language and means “teacher for all”.
